As the fall semester kicked off, we welcomed 3 new interns from UNC & Duke and a Venture Fellow. Welcome to Connor Roach, Ernesto Almonacin, returning intern Kush Jain! Read more about our new interns below.
Connor Roach - UNC MBA Intern
Connor is a Chapel Hill native who left the Tar Heel state to attend Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated from Olin Business School with a BSBA in Marketing. He pursued a career in the live music industry following his undergraduate education, making his first stop at Creative Artists Agency in Nashville, TN. After a few years of representing CAA’s top musicians, he decided to take his talents to Beverly Hills, CA, to work for Live Nation Entertainment directing North American arena tours. Connor came to Kenan-Flagler to pivot out of the live entertainment industry into startup investing. In his free time he enjoys playing golf and soccer, as well as watching UNC basketball win National Championships (Go heels!)
Jurassic is excited to have Connor onboard for fall & spring semester of his final year at Kenan Flagler Business School.
Ernesto Almonacin - Duke MBA Intern
Originally from Lima, Peru, Ernesto is a second-year MBA student with a finance and strategy background. In previous roles, he gained experience in the consumer goods industry, focusing on performance improvement projects and strategic initiatives (partnerships, divestitures, market entry strategy). This past summer, Ernesto worked at Intuit, driving his interest in software. Due to Jurassic’s focus on B2B software investing, Ernesto is motivated to apply his knowledge from previous roles and learn more about the operating and investing side of the sector.
Jurassic is thrilled to welcome Ernesto to the team for his fall semester mentored-study with Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
Kush Jain - UNC Returning Intern
Kush is a senior at UNC Chapel Hill studying business and economics, and returns to Jurassic for his fourth semester working as an investment analyst. Kush spent this past summer at Raleigh-Based Software company, Pendo, as a finance intern at Pendo.
Kush notes that, as an entrepreneur, he was “drawn to Jurassic because of Kevin and Joe's incredible journey with Bronto and their mission of supporting startups in the local region.”
In his free time, he loves watching sports like football and basketball, cooking, and traveling. His most memorable experience while traveling was skydiving in New Zealand when he was 15.
